nick k asked: I am gonna be going to school for automotive service technology and i was just wondering what is it like the first days as an auto mechanic? say i got a job at good year or firestone i heard i would just be doing tire changes and oil changes and i thoug that would be a little too little thinking i would at least do some minor repairs i know you can learn everything in school but i figure you learn quite a bit anyway about how long till i would be doing most repairs on the cars?

mojito man asked: this is a little p-hole dealership chain in cen and so-cal. im wondering who has had the pleasure of ever working for or being a customer of these scumbags. i was a previous employee. so if you were ever a customer, especially to service dept, then you were screwed whether you know it or not. they will charge you for a service that you already have purchased in one of the services, pretending like its a different service without even blinking an eye. they will take customers out of their employees numbers and put them in the mgr’s so that the mgr looks better and the other persons commission goes down. they are a horrible and terrible and theiving company. how does everyone else feel? mainly, how does everyone else feel that has worked/bought for/from them?

brandon asked: I have a 98′ Plymouth voyager, i went shopping tonight and on the way there my “service engine soon” light turned on. Then a few hours later i was driving home and the gauges on my dashboard went down and were no longer moving. These gauges include my gas , speed, and water tempeature gauges. Every thing on the car so far is working like the brakes…. etc. I was only driving for ten minutes after the gauges dropped. PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice guy in OR asked: I have a 1997 Honda Passport. I would like to check and service the automatic transmission, but I can not find a dipstick or a filler cap anywhere. Does anyone have any idea how to check and how to service the transmission? Thanks!!
