Jill C asked: My business is an automotive service business, which means I diagnose hard to find problems, do prepurchase inspections and do predictive maintenance. I do not repair cars or recommend garages. I am totally unbiased. I give a 12 page report.
I have testimonials from my satisfied customers. They would of spent thousands for repairs Coming to us gave them the piece of mind they were looking for. They couldn’t be taken for a “ride”. Forewarned is forearmed. We are not auto mechanics we are professional automotive engineers. Our business is to diagnose, report and analyze.
I know the media would give me free publicity. How do I go about it?

Tipm asked: Elsewhere in other countries, we work for 8 hours per day and max 40 hours per week.
I was reading some ads and found that some shops (automotive service) in U.S open from 6am till 7pm. This means staff work for 12 or 13 hours, is this legal or just the employers doling their own thing?
What is the standard work hours recommended by law in MD state? Any ideas??
Thanks for input.

bluejacketsfan2007 asked: I’m thinking about applying at the Wal-Mart in Gallipolis or Athens Ohio just for the summer and early fall.
I worked six years at Publix Supermarket as a cashier and even helped trained some of them.
While I would like to work as a tire/lube tech since I will be majoring in automotive service management in the spring I can work in any dept they need.

happy asked: Recently, I had Fuels injector cleaning service done at Wal-Mart. After this service was done, the “Service Engine” and “VSC control” light in the dash board stays ON. I was told by Wal-Mart automotive service that the “Check Engine” light is ON since the fuel injector cleaning is done and the oxygen sensor is reading the oxygen-fuel ratio improperly. It will go OFF in 24 hrs. They did not take any responsibility for “VSC” light staying on. This light was not ON when i turned in my vehiclefor fuel injector cleaning service.
Are they telling me the truth about “Service Engine” and “VSC” light? Any advice would be appreciated.
